Well, the team at askstephenbell.com decided to enter a 48 hour film festival. You might be asking yourself what exactly is a 48 hour film festival. Well, The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it, EVERYTHING—in just 48 hours.
On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. See www.48hourfilm.com for more info and upcoming dates. Maybe they’ll come to a city near you!
UPDATE: Our film is in the top 5 for the Tampa Bay 48 hour film Audience Best of Show. Plus, we just found out we are up for another Major Award! Hopefully it will be a Fragile leg-lamp from Italy.
Thanks to Dave Hillman of Plano, Texas for this weeks question. If you have a question for Stephen Bell please email him at stephen@askstephenbell.com
TO ALL YOU HATERS OUT THERE: This is one tough Video Intern you don’t want to mess with… Believe it or not, Stephen is actually a certified Black Belt, and we had him running tests with our cameras running at different frame rates. Who knew that the end result would be this Kung Fu masterpiece.
Fear does not exist in this Dojo. Banzai, Stephen-san!
Would you believe it? Stephen Bell has his own video game! Watch as Stephen Bell runs a sound check in the greenscreen studio, it’s just too bad he did not check to see if the Cameras were recording.
More 8-bit action coming soon…
